Identifying Tree and Shrub Damage
We offer a wide range of options when it comes to tree and shrub care to ensure we can provide for clients across all of our service areas. Our choices range from applying horticultural oil in the spring to deep-root feeding trees and shrubs with our compost tea fertilizer, or even as in-depth as our 16-week tree and shrub monitoring program.
Identifying what is best for you depends on what our team finds during your tree and shrub inspection.
Once identified, our tree care and shrub care program will include:
- Corrective pruning
- Soil analysis
- Horticultural oil, to prevent harmful insects from emerging
- Applications to control disease, fungus , and leaf-eating or warm-weather insects
Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
Griffin Organics practices IPM – an ecological approach to insect and disease control that includes inspections of trees and shrubs in attempts to catch and prevent any issues before real damage occurs. This allows us to limit the use of pesticides on your trees and shrubs.
Tree and Shrub Fertilizer
Fertilizing trees and shrubs is a bit different than lawn fertilization, so we recommend an annual deep-root injection of our compost tea product for your trees and shrubs.
Our organic compost tea is fueled by humic acid, fish oil, seaweed extract, and molasses; which will provide benefits that help protect the roots of your trees and shrubs by unlocking nutrients within the soul, making them more readily available. Griffin Organics performs deep-root injections in the spring and fall.
Worried About Pests?
Systemic insect control is an additional treatment we offer when we fertilize trees and shrubs. This will allow your trees to be treated below the root and above, for long-lasting, all-encompassing protection.
